Who we are
Euro Cup 2028: Scores & Stats ("the app") is an independent, unofficial football reference and free-to-play fan app about the European Football Championship 2028 (England, Scotland, Wales, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland), published by the developer named on its Google Play / App Store page ("we"). Unofficial fan app: not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by FIFA or UEFA; all names are used for identification only. Contact: contact@eurocup28.com.
The short version
You can use the whole reference part of the app without an account. The free games (guess the exact score, quiz, leagues with friends, fantasy) need only a nickname and your birth year. There is no money anywhere in the app: no stakes, no purchases inside the games and no money prizes. We do not sell your data. You can delete your account and all game data in the app at any time.
Data you give us (game profile)
Required: nickname (shown on leaderboards and in leagues) and birth year (used only to check your age).
Optional: favourite national team and country (2-letter code; pre-filled from your device region, editable; shown as a flag next to your nickname and used for the country rankings).
Contacts for prizes (optional, only if you are 16 or older): Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, e-mail and phone number, with a separate checkbox "I agree to be contacted about prizes" and a separate choice for occasional tournament news. They are used only to reach you if you win a prize in a partner contest you entered. They are never shown to other players, never appear in rankings and are never sold. You can change or remove them at any time (Play → My profile → Edit → Remove all my contacts).
Game data: your score predictions and points, quiz progress (streaks), badges, collected cards, private leagues you created or joined, fantasy leagues, squads and line-ups.
Data created automatically
A random install identifier (for example g_7Hk2…) is created on your device. It links your game data to your profile without an e-mail or password. It is not your advertising ID.
If the online game service is enabled, our server (Cloudflare Workers, EU/US data centres) receives your requests with this identifier; standard server logs (IP address, time, request) are kept by the hosting provider for security for a short period.
Ages
Under 13: no profile is created and nothing about you is sent to our server — you can play the quiz and make predictions as a guest on your device only. Ads are requested as child-directed with the strictest content rating.
13 to 15: you can create a profile with a nickname and birth year; we do not collect contact details; ads are always non-personalised and requested as "under the age of consent".
16 and over: all features; personalised ads only with your consent (and, on iOS, your App Tracking Transparency permission).
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The iOS and Android apps show ads from Google AdMob (banners on list screens, an occasional full-screen ad between content screens, and an optional rewarded ad for a quiz hint). The web version shows no ads.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent with Google's certified consent message (UMP) before any ad is requested; you can change your choice at any time in More → Privacy & ads. On iOS we ask for tracking permission (ATT) only after that and never for users under 16.
Google may process your device advertising ID, IP address (to derive approximate location), device and app information and ad interactions to serve, limit and measure ads. Without consent or permission, only non-personalised ads are shown. Gambling and betting ads are blocked. More: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
What we use data for
To run the games (scoring, rankings overall / by country / with friends, private and fantasy leagues), to keep your progress, to protect the service against abuse, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional tournament news. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR): performance of our service (art. 6(1)(b)), legitimate interests in security (art. 6(1)(f)), and consent for news and personalised ads (art. 6(1)(a)).
Sharing
Other players see your nickname, country flag, points, rank and (in a league) your fantasy team name — never your contacts or birth year. Service providers that process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Google (AdMob ads and, if you choose it later, Sign in with Google), Apple (if you choose Sign in with Apple). Football data comes from API-Football; no personal data is sent to it. Stadium photos come from Wikimedia Commons. We never sell personal data.
Storage and deletion
Game data is kept on your device and, if the online game service is enabled, on our server until you delete your account, or for 24 months after your last activity, after which it is deleted automatically.
Delete my data: Play → My profile → Edit → Delete my data (or the web deletion page linked there, which works without the app). This removes your profile and all game data from your device and from our server immediately; private leagues you created pass to the longest-standing member (or are deleted if empty). Uninstalling the app removes the data on the device.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data, withdraw consent at any time and object to processing. Most of this is available directly in the app (profile editing, account deletion, More → Privacy & ads). For anything else write to contact@eurocup28.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK: the ICO).
Changes
We will update this policy when features change and show the date of the last update here.

Score game server — details

What we do not do
We do not sell data, do not show contacts to other players, do not use them for advertising, and do not track you across apps through this game server.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept until you delete it or after 24 months without activity. Delete everything anytime in the app (Play → Profile → Delete my data) or on the web: delete my data. You can remove only your prize contacts in the profile at any time.
Security
HTTPS only. Prize contacts are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). The player key is stored as a SHA-256 hash.
